Speech Thomas

Speech is a multi Grammy Awards winner and founder of the legendary hip hop group Arrested Development. Speech has a very fulfilling career and rich background in the music industry. His band Arrested development won countless awards, including Band of The Year by Rolling Stone Magazine (1994), The Greatest Hip-Hop Artists of All Time by VH-1, 2 MTV Awards of Best Rap Video (Tennessee and Everyday People), and an NAACP in 1993. One of the songs that Speech wrote, Tennessee, was voted into The top 500 songs That Shaped Rock and Roll by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yolanda Thomas

Yolanda is the wife of Speech, who has been involved in the entertainment business as the tour manager for top billing artists Arrested Development for 20 years. She was trained in tour management by the legendary David Norman. Yolanda is responsible for directing the operation management and student success, making sure the Victory Spot Family is aligned and organized. With their son receiving a full scholarship to SCAD and their daughter being a successful film and television actress, Yolanda brings a key nurturing experience to Victory Spot and our students.



Funky or blues, there is no doubt Baatin is a master of what he does: MUSIC. The multiinstrumentalist has worked with some of the legendary household names such Otis Redding III and his soulful tunes have been covered by the daughter of B.B. King, Claudette on her shows. Having toured and performed across the globe, Baatin’s jaw dropping musical skills has landed him music features on TV and commercials such as Turner Network TV, NBA playoffs, Delta’s CNN inflight entertainment. Born and raised in Georgia, USA, Baatin studied his crafts with his peers from the James Brown, Otis Redding, Bobby Womack and the Allman Brother Bands. You just can’t lose with the bluesy craftsmanship of Baatin. Baatin currently teaches guitar at Victory Spot.

Christian Monbru

Better knows as MOMBRU, is an independent producer and songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts. Bringing elements of R&B and Pop into the sphere of Urban & Electronic music,  MOMBRU's lush atmospheric tones have elevated the work of numerous artists while catching the attention of major labels such as Capitol Records.  Notably, his tracks with Trevor Dering, Emilia Ali, and Matilda Gratte have graced the Spotify and Apple Music charts in multiple countries.

MOMBRU began playing piano at age three and at twelve taught himself to play guitar. He went on to study at Berklee College of Music where he picked up production his sophomore year. In 2017, he graduated Berklee with a dual degree in Electronic Production & Design and Business Management. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta to work under Grammy Award-winning mix engineer, Leslie Brathwaite whose mixing credits include Michael Jackson, Pharrell Williams, Beyoncé, Cardi B, and J Balvin.
